Radon kills more people each year than drunk drivers.
Radon testing is extremely important and is recommended by the EPA for all real estate transactions.

What is Radon?
Radon is a radioactive cancer-causing gas. You can't smell, taste or see radon. Radon seeps out of the earth and gathers in basements and crawlspaces. Because it's 7x heavier than air, radon tends to settle in the lower levels of your home.
Where is Radon?
Radon is everywhere in the ground and is all over Nashville. Compared to the rest of the United States, radon levels are particularly high in Davidson county. Download any states radon map from the EPA here.
Do I need Radon Testing?
The EPA recommends that every real estate transaction includes radon testing because it is so deadly.
How is radon tested?
We use activated charcoal canisters. We set them in the home for 2 days and let them absorb any radon that might be in the air. The canisters are they sent to a lab for analysis.
